Lian Ru Warming
When qi and blood are weakened, pathogenic factors such as wind, cold and dampness can penetrate the body and cause stasis of qi and blood. If the cold and damp penetrate to deeper levels of the body, they block the free flow of qi, blood and fluids. This causes cramps and stiffness in the tendons and muscles. Lian Ru warming stimulates the flow of qi and blood, relaxes and warms the muscles and tendons. Ideal for muscle strains and painful muscles with a feeling of cold, particularly when symptoms are exacerbated by damp cold weather. Cover the affected body part with a garment after massaging in Lian Ru warming to intensify the feeling of warmth.
Formulation
In order to dispel cold and dampness, hot and spicy gan jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma) and hua jiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium) are applied. The warm and spicy xiao hui xiang (Foeniculi Fructus) has a supportive effect. hai feng teng (Piperis Kadsurae Caulis), du huo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), qiang huo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), wei ling xian (Clematidis Radix) and ji xue cao (Centellae Herba) warm the channels and dispel wind and dampness. ji xue cao relaxes the tendons. hong hua (Carthami Flos), tao ren (Persicae Semen), mo yao (Myrrha) and ru xiang (Olibanum) invigorate the blood. Aromatically hot zhang nao (Camphora) powerfully opens the channels and drives out cold. A little vanillyl butyl ether stimulates skin circulation and increases heat sensitivity. In comparison to other warming agents it is less likely to irritate the skin and is generally well tolerated. For external use. Avoid contact with the eyes. Not suitable for small children. Application during pregnancy not recommended. Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight.
